The director said that smoking gave him “great pleasure” but he had to pay the price for his bad habit at the expense of his health. He also added that he quit smoking more than two years ago.

“I’ve had a lot of tests done recently and the good news is that other than emphysema, I’m doing great. I’m filled with happiness and I’m never going to retire. I want you to know that I really appreciate your concern,” David Lynch said.

The director had previously stated that if he were to reshoot a film, it would have to be done remotely. He doesn’t like this kind of work. But now David Lynch tries not to leave the house because he can’t move without suffocation. In addition, the producer is afraid of catching a cold, which can lead to death along with emphysema.

Social network X* is prohibited in the Russian Federation.
