Roman Kostomarov is vacationing with his family in Sochi. The Olympic champion shared a photo on his personal blog of himself and his 69-year-old mother Valentina Nikolaevna and daughter Anastasia splashing around in the pool.

They froze in a gymnastic pose for the photo. “But no one canceled the stretching, even my beloved logs do not stretch their socks like I do now! But still well done,” the skater commented. One of the first to react to the photo was the athlete’s wife Oksana Domnina: “My socks. The most beloved.”

Let’s remind that Kostomarov faced many trials. In 2023, the Olympic champion was hospitalized with pneumonia. Later, the disease caused complications that led to necrosis of the limbs.
As a result, Kostomarov had to amputate the tibia of both legs, the hand on one hand and the fingers on the other. Now the athlete is learning to live with prosthetics.
