The new chapter of the story of the giant loved by the whole world will be released on July 1, 2025. Film studio DreamWorks Animation announced this on the social network.
Representatives of the film company added: “Not so long…” The project will again feature Mike Myers (Shrek), Eddie Murphy (Donkey) and Cameron Diaz (Fiona). It is already known that after the completion of work on the new “Shrek” its creators will undertake another spin-off. This time Donkey was given a separate cartoon or maybe a series of awards.
The cartoon “Shrek” was first released in 2001. It was based on the children’s book of the same name by William Steig. The audience saw the second part three years later. The third in 2007, and the fourth in 2010. In addition, a series of short films about the ogre family, as well as two cartoons and a series about Puss in Boots were shot.
