As a result, Heard had nothing to be happy about. The detective encountered what he called overwhelming support for Depp. They described the actor as “a gentleman” and a man “without a bone in his body,” the Daily Mail wrote. “I tried to shed light on the man behind the legends and present a narrative based on real understanding and compassion,” Barresi concluded in his book Johnny Depp’s Accidental Witness: How a Hollywood Detective Saved a Pirate’s Honor.
The detective concluded that Heard’s accusations against Depp were slanderous, and that he included literally many people from his circle, including Amber, who continues to use his real estate.
