According to NBC, citing sources, the 54-year-old rapper’s attorneys received notification from federal authorities in the Southern District of New York that Sean “Diddy” Combs is under criminal investigation.
Law enforcement is now reviewing the evidence, which will then be presented to a federal grand jury, but they are not certain that charges will be brought against the artist.
Since November last year, six people have accused the musician of sexual assault and harassment. He is also suspected of pimping and human trafficking. The first plaintiff was R’n’B singer and P Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie. She said the singer physically abused and raped her for 10 years.
The artist settled the case with his ex-lover, but soon several more charges were brought against him.
