The Highlander movie reboot is coming soon! Shooting of the new version of the cult series will begin in a few months.
John Wick director Chad Stahelski decided to dust off the once very popular project. Former “The Witcher” invited Henry Cavill to play the main role. The director has already visited Scotland to choose suitable locations.
Stahelski wants to take swordfight photography to the next level. It is known that Stahelski wanted to add cars and firearms to the environment. He is also excited about what the story is about. “I love the subject matter, I love working on immortality and love stories over time. “I think it’s a good way to take great historical fiction and fantasy and put them together,” Stahelski told Collider.
Let’s remember that “Highlander” was released in 1986. The story tells how in the distant Middle Ages a Scotsman named Connor MacLeod died, but was resurrected and sent into exile.
He later learned that they belonged to a race of immortal warriors who could only be killed by decapitation with a sword. The story extends to the present day, where the outcome of MacLeod’s battle with his main enemy may decide the fate of all humanity.
