June is finally coming to an end. The month in which mothers’ mental load exploded while children are at the highest level of tiredness and excitement. June is also the month when your kids have a bigger social life than you (I admit, it’s not difficult). Between fairs, dance and theater shows, and birthdays, it seems that they were all born in this period. Let’s talk about birthdays, you liked our article which describes the type of 4 parents we always meet at birthday parties, today I’ll talk to you about the budget for gifts for school friends.

How much budget should you spend on birthday gifts?
Since I became a mother, I have noticed thisthere are really no rulessome come to the party with something for 10 balls while others do everything, Playmobil, Lego for 30 euros. There are also those who give you a gift from their son that has never been used, an obscure board game that will remain in the closet for the rest of your life. I myself sometimes indulge in certain things received at the office, but I wouldn’t dare anyway.
For my part, I try to do a gift more or less proportional to the cost of the party. Last year my son, for example, was invited to Parc Astérix, obviously I had planned a more expensive gift, around 20, 25 euros, two of the same because they were twins. Otherwise I would say it was around 15 euros, and even this in most cases, one or more books. One day I was really a mouse, thinking back I honestly don’t know why, but I gave the child a spinning top, yes, yes. Too bad, right?
THE gift amount It also depends a little on proximity level boyfriend or girlfriend. If it’s a close friend, obviously, I’ll want to spoil him more to please my son. I also noticed that I tended to give gifts around 10/12 euros when they were younger (5.6 years). At this age it’s easy to find cheap gifts. A Djeco puzzle and that’s it, a Sablimage box, it’s creamy.
And you, how much do you invest in gifts?
