The creators of the series “House of the Dragon”, without false modesty, called the second season of the show extraordinary. Impressed by their own work, the group announced that the Game of Thrones spin-off had been renewed for a third season.
“We are thrilled with the tremendous effort the entire team has put in to create an exciting second season, scope and scale. “We are excited to continue the story of House Targaryen and see this team shine again in season three,” said Francesca Orsi, Director of Programming and Drama, as quoted by Variety.
The second season of House of the Dragon will be released on July 16, 2024. The series is adapted from the books of George RR Martin. The Targaryen dynasty is at the center of the story. The story takes place almost 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and nearly 100 years after the Targaryens united the Seven Kingdoms.
