Special: British arts and culture broadcaster Marquee TV has embarked on a reorganization by acquiring fellow SvoD Helio Arts, promoting Marquee COO Nina Laricheva as CEO of the combined organization.
Helio’s video content and partnerships will be featured in the Marquee TV catalog, which includes: .EnjoyOne Woman Opera about Julia Child, starring acclaimed mezzo-soprano Jamie Burton and winner of the Seattle Film Festival afterglowPublishing a Schumann song cycle დიხტერლიბე.
Available in many venues, the Marquee has partnered with on-demand performances by dance, opera, theater and music companies and currently boasts more than 450 works, including those from the Royal Shakespeare Company and Royal Opera House.
The acquisition sparked a jolt within the company, with Lariche moving from CEO to COO, with current CEO Simon Walker taking over as chairman, and Ryan McCain, Helio co-founder and former opera singer, who took over the company.
McKinn will report to Lariche, who will assume full executive responsibility for the business, while Walker will focus on strategy and corporate development.
