The 77th Cannes Film Festival ended today on the Cote d’Azur. The Palme d’Or, the main award of the festival, was given to the film Anora, directed by Sean Baker and starring Mark Eidelstein, Yura Borisov and Mikey Madison.

The plot focuses on the story of a young girl from Anora, Brooklyn, who sells her body. One day, she gets the opportunity to experience life from a different perspective when she meets the son of a Russian oligarch and marries him. All dreams of a carefree life are immediately jeopardized when young Vanya’s parents learn of Anora’s activities.

By the way, regarding other nominations and awards. Best Actor was awarded to Jesse Plemons for his role in Kindness, but the Best Actress award went to several other actresses: Adriana Paz, Selena Gomez, Carla Gascon and Zoe Saldana for the film Emilia Perez.
