You probably never thought you could combine the music of 1874 and 2024. But composer Igor Yakovenko did this in his new project Promenade.

This year, Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures from the Exhibition turns 150. Yakovenko recorded the plays from there, inviting 11 artists to “back-translate” the music into fine art language, and developed these new works into themes for his cycle of plays. So, concert guests will be able to see paintings by Victor Hartmann and works by contemporary artists who inspired Igor Yakovenko: Viktor Alimpiev, Kirill Garshin and other creators.
