Jacquemus launches its bridal collection (for pure Southern product wedding dresses)

The new Jacquemus collection dedicated to weddings is available from 17 April 2024. It offers a wide range of wedding dresses, but also dresses for guests at this type of ceremony (PACS, civil weddings, baptisms, etc.). Enough to answer the question of how to dress for a wedding. Or at least be inspired, perhaps.

If designer Simon Porte has long offered Jacquemus dresses that can clearly suit a bride or groom, he is now launching a new dedicated collection. Perhaps his ceremony in August 2022 inspired him. In any case, the author offers his work online from April 17th ” The marriage “.

Jacquemus presents his new bridal collection

The first teaser video presented by Jacquemus features a popular excerpt from the French-Australian film Muriel (OR Muriel’s wedding in the original title), directed by Paul John Hogan and released in 1994. This film earned Toni Collette a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy. And Rachel Griffiths received the Film Critics Circle of Australia Award and the AACTA Award for Best Supporting Actress. Suffice it to say, the feature film worked favorably to break out these two talented actresses.

This comedy tells the story of a heroine who feels guilty (mainly due to society’s fatphobia) and dreams of getting married: Muriel, played by Toni Colette. Among the scenes of this now cult film is that of throwing the bouquet of flowers, here reinterpreted by Jacquemus.

What are wedding dresses like according to Jacquemus?

Returning to this “Le Mariage” collection by Jacquemus, there is something for all tastes.

The collection is predominantly full of white dresses, requested by weddings. But also various proposals in orange (which on the eshop look very similar to red) and navy blue. As well as black, less conventional for a wedding. Sizes range from 32 to 48 for some models.
