On a sample of 1,000 French people aged between 18 and 34, representative by gender, age and diploma, there are six main categories, as summarized in a press release.
The red flags between the places where we take photos
- 30% of those interviewed find evening photos (bars, discos) embarrassing.
- 20% next to or in the car.
- 19% in the gym/sports.
- 16% in front of a mirror (bathroom, building entrance, elevator, etc.).
Red flags between clothes
- 43% semi-naked/bare-chested.
- 25% in pajamas.
- 25% ostentatious clothing with visible brands/logos.
- 19% in jogging shirts, sportswear or football.
Red flags between body positions/attitudes
- 42% smoke.
- 26% consume alcohol.
- 26% have little or no visible face.
- 25% have a crooked mouth, protruding tongue or even a JUL sign.
Red flags regarding photos with other people
29% against group photos of friends whose faces are hidden by emojis.
Red flags related to photo quality
- 49% against visibly old photos.
- 46% against photos with filters.
- 39% against blurry photos.
- 32% against poor quality photos.
Red flags regarding writing a biography
- 49% against vulgarity.
- 44% against spelling errors.
- 26% against biographies that appear copied/pasted from other profiles.
- 23% against floppy disks.
