Hello to all fashion lovers! Your fashion editor is here. There are so many trends and brands in my world that I decided to keep an online journal where I would note the most important things in the industry. And although such diaries are often called personal, mine is open to all readers – so you will be aware of the most interesting things.
The first week of April pleased not only with warm weather (we mark 20 degrees of heat on Tuesday), but also with wonderful news from the world of fashion. For example, at the beginning of the week, a campaign featuring the larger-than-life Rihanna was released for the Savage x Fenty brand. A little later we saw the new cover of Puss Puss Magazine with Marina Abramovic dressed as Rick Owens. On Wednesday, we witnessed the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the Versace brand. The team announced actor Cillian Murphy as their first male ambassador.
There were really many interesting events this week, so I suggest you take a short digital journey with me into the latest news from the world of fashion and learn a little more about our domestic brands, advertising campaigns and collections. Shall we begin?

Finally, the Salamander brand presented an advertising campaign with the face of Milos Bikovic. The Serbian and Russian actor’s collaboration with the brand will last for two seasons. Meanwhile, last year Salamander began to extensively update its corporate identity and collection design by expanding its product range and introducing new product categories. That’s when the brand team decided to attract an ambassador. “I am pleased with our cooperation with the Salamander brand. I responsibly receive the trust of the audience and Salamander has built strong relationships with its customers thanks to the high quality of its shoes. We agree on this!” – Milos shared.

What wardrobe items can you not imagine the spring season without? Of course, without raincoats, trench coats and windbreakers. All fashion influencers love these products and show us unusual styling techniques almost every day. So where to buy fashionable models? We invite you to take a closer look at the new collection of the BAON brand. Filming of the campaign took place in Tokyo, where ancient imperial palaces coexist with the tallest modern skyscrapers. BAON’s sources of inspiration were graphics and conciseness, sophistication and unpretentious simplicity, naturalness and elegance, aesthetics and mysticism; In this way, the brand created “its own haiku about style and comfort” from 17 frames.
The brand paid special attention to the color palette, which harmonizes perfectly with the main Japanese colors. White, black, red, pink, blue, yellow and gold; Each tone has a special meaning and symbolism. By the way, all outerwear of the brand is subjected to special impregnation: waterproof and windproof.

If you don’t have any plans for next weekend yet, you will definitely like this news. Because the Grand Street concept store is exhibiting a pop-up featuring Armenian designers along with fashion expert Marina Barykina. Loom Weaving, SONČESS, True Romance, Ruzane and Ariga To will come to Moscow to visit. From April 5 to 7, the brands will present their current range in the Grand Street area at: st. Pokrovka, 7/9.
“My acquaintance with Armenian designers started with Tezgah Weaving. I saw their studio for the first time in Yerevan in 2015. My gaze fell on the window on a long cardigan. And it was love at first sight. Handmade, high-quality yarn, unusual textures and styles – this is their know-how. Then I discovered SONČESS, Ruzane and Ariga To,” says Marina.

“We are growing and our customers are growing with us, so in this collection we have moved from bright, open images to a more minimalist and restrained design, but no less sexy,” says designer Andrei Mardovin about the new collection. Its symbol is the plumeria flower, which Andrey drew on a napkin during his travels. The tropical plant became the main unifying element of the collection and is found in the form of metal pieces on swimsuits, massive mono earrings and cutouts on dresses, T-shirts and bodysuits. Tightly closed harmonies in combination with the childish symbol of a flower personify the image of a confident, self-made woman, but at the same time retaining her enthusiasm and girlish spontaneity. You can now buy the products in the collection from the brand’s website.

We have repeatedly said that the Russian fashion industry is developing at a tremendous pace. The Fashion Vibes fashion department talks about new brands, talented designers and ambitious projects every week. And their numbers are increasing. For example, in the Sverdlovsk region, a large-scale U’FASHION project was launched, whose main task is to help Ural fashion designers promote, develop and scale their business. Katya Mukhina became the creative curator of the project.
The first stage is a competition of Russian designers, whose applications are accepted from April 3 to May 20. Among the submitted applications, an expert jury, which will be published on the official website, will select up to 30 applicants. Within the scope of International Fashion Week, a maximum of 15 participants will advance to the finals and present their new collections.
