IFC Films has released a new trailer for Eric Banais the next mystery crime thriller Force of nature: The dry 2which is the sequel to the 2020 hit film The Dry. Bana reprises his role as federal agent Aaron Falk.
The film follows Falk as he finds himself embroiled in a murder mystery involving five women who embark on a hiking retreat and only four make it out alive.
In the film, “After receiving a distressing call from an informant, federal agents Aaron Falk and Carmen Cooper head deep into the Giralang Mountains to investigate the whereabouts of their corporate informant Alice after she mysteriously disappears during a company retreat. The four women recovered from the bush each appear to be hiding something about their traumatic experience. As Falk and Cooper get closer to the case, they uncover disturbing details about the connections between these women and begin to fear for the safety of their missing informant as a storm threatens to halt the search.
Force of nature: The dry 2 is written and directed by Robert Connolly, who directed the first film, and it looks like it tells a compelling and gripping story. The rest of the cast includes Anna Torv, Deborra-Lee Furness, Robin McLeavy, Sisi Stringer, Lucia Ansell, Jacqueline McKenzie, Jeremy Lindsay-Taylor, Richard Roxburgh, Tony BriggsAND Kenneth Radley.
The roadshow will be released Force of nature: The dry 2 in Australian theaters May 10, 2024.
