Marilyn Monroe’s pink Pucci dress was sold at Julien’s Auctions’ ICONS auction at NYA Studios East in Los Angeles. The lot went under the hammer at a record price for the brand of 325 thousand dollars (about 30 million rubles). “The long-sleeved silk jersey dress set a new Pucci world record as the brand’s most expensive item sold at auction,” the auction house said in a press release.

The auction also included other personal items that once belonged to Marilyn Monroe: images from filming and various items from her wardrobe. For example, a black dress created by costume designer William Travilla sold for $127,000. The iconic actress wore this in The Seven Year Itch.
By the way, the most unusual piece was not Marilyn Monroe’s dress, but the one located in the crypt next to the star’s funeral. Read more here.
