The press service of the Moscow City Court told RIA Novosti that the daughter of the former artistic director of the Lenkom theater could not object in court to agreements on the transfer of copyrights to her performances. According to the case materials, Mark Zakharov staged the plays “Marriage” and “Falstaff” for a fee. Exclusive rights to these productions remained with the theater and the production company.

Following the death of the theater and cinema master, his daughter filed a lawsuit to invalidate the copyright agreements her father made with the Mkayana and Kulisa companies. But the servants of Themis rejected him, and now it became known that the Moscow City Court rejected the appeal of Alexandra Zakharova, after which the decision entered into legal force.

The court declared that Mark Zakharov did not object to the contracts signed for his performances during his lifetime, received fees for them and signed certificates of completion of the work.
