While the American actress, screenwriter and director Greta Gerwig will preside over the jury of this 77th edition of the largest film festival in the world, Camille Cottin will open and close it.

Born in Paris in 1978, she spent five years in England as a teenager which allowed her to become an English teacher in a high school in the capital, while developing a passion for theater and her education in it. After some time on stage, she played her first film role in Yamakasi (2001) by Ariel Zeitoun. He multiplies roles on TV, while acting in the theater, particularly under the direction of Pierre Palmade. But it was obviously Connasse who brought her fame starting in 2013. Since then she has played a series of roles for French cinema, such as her in The Gazelles (2014) with Audrey Fleurot and Camille Chamoux, First time (2015) with Pio Marmaï and Franck Gastambide, or also Bitch, princess of hearts (2015). There is no doubt that this new role as master of ceremonies at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival will suit Camille Cottin perfectly.
