This is a new – among others – fashion trend on TikTok, which, once again, involves children. Since the beginning of February, parents have been encouraging their children to swear in front of the camera, without fear of being scolded.
In these videos, the parent first explains the concept to their child, whose age does not seem to exceed five or six years: the latter will have a minute to say in front of the camera all the swear words he knows, most of the time, “shit” OR “whore” in a low voice.
A “manipulation” of the child by the parents
But once again children are being denounced on social networks by their parents, warns the president of the La Voix de l’Enfant association, Martine Broussewith our colleagues at HuffPost. She reports “manipulation and use of the child by parents”. “We can also ask ourselves if this isn’t hurting him”he insists.
But above all, posting images of children on social networks also carries the risk of them being used for juvenile criminal purposes. Because 50% of the photos circulating on child pornography networks are photos taken by parents and shared publicly on their social networks, he reported The Parisian last July.
Thus, last February, the National Assembly decidedly unanimously adopted a bill aimed at better protecting children’s image rights in the face of the excesses of some parents, who expose them on social networks. It introduces the notion of “ private life ” of the child in the definition of parental responsibility of the civil code. In some serious cases of violation of the child’s dignity, the text opens up the possibility of a forced delegation of parental authority.
