‘Abbott Elementary’ Creator Quinta Brunson Responds to ‘Wild’ Requests for School Shooting Episode

After the horrific shooting at a school in Texas on Tuesday, Abbott Elementary School Creator, executive producer, writer and star Quinta Brunson shared something on social media today that she says fans often request.

“It’s surprising how many people ask about the shooting portion of the show I’m writing,” she began. “People are far from wanting ‘fun’ rather than wanting more from their elected politicians. “Are you okay now?” I can’t ask. because the answer is “no”.

Brunson had a request for these people on his behalf.

“Use that energy and ask for your elected official at the time of Beto and ask for nothing less. I’m begging you. “

He then explained his reasoning.

“I don’t want to sound malicious, but I want people to understand the shortcomings of wanting something like this. We are not good. This country is playing with our brains. Sorry for that.”
