“He should shut his mouth”: Anouk Grinberg criticizes Emmanuel Macron’s “shameful” comments on the Depardieu case

Guest of C à Vous on France 5, actress Anouk Grinberg once again offered her support to the women victims of Gérard Depardieu and denounced Emmanuel Macron’s comments against the actor, indicted since 2020 for rape.

We can’t blame Anouk Grinberg for not kicking the anthill that is the world of French cinema.

After giving an interview to the magazine SHE last October in which he confided it “everyone who worked with Depardieu knows that he attacks women”, the actress, reiterated her comments. Invited on Wednesday 10 January on the set of “C à vous” on France 5 to talk about the film Bonnard, Pierre and MartheAnouk Grinberg had very harsh words towards Emmanuel Macron, who in December defended Gérard Depardieu and denounced “a manhunt”.

“As far as the president is concerned, it’s just unfortunate. It is truly a shame that a man abuses his power, like Depardieu », began Anouk Grinberg. Before continuing: “These are two men who abused their power and who came to an agreement, who called each other the day before or the day before and said to each other: ‘between men, between rapists, okay, there I’ll cover. “I’ll cover for you” rape, sexual assault, serious stuff, whatever. That this young president – this young man! – He allows himself to ignore hundreds and hundreds, even thousands, of women whom Depardieu attacked, he is shameful. »

“The president should keep his mouth shut while a new world is being prepared”

Anouk Grinberg also cited the article in support of Depardieu published in Le Figaroand signed by around fifty cinema personalities – before many of them withdrew.

“It turns out that these are people who have not read and who regret having signed a document written by someone more or less fascist. But this is not the only problem! It was an excuse for impunity. We must not allow this to happen. Furthermore, all these artists use their power to silence a world that roars because it is not the hysterical women who speak or those who do not dare to speak. The world is made up again with women who dare to say “stop” or who dare to say “I want a life like you”. Exactly, we should be happy about that. »

And he added angrily: “ The president should shut his mouth! He should shut his mouth when preparing a new world, he should support this movement. I’m angry but I’m not here alone, it doesn’t matter. But many people are angry, and not just women. »

We remind you that Gérard Depardieu has been indicted for rape since 2020, after a complaint from the actress and dancer Charlotte Arnould. Last September, immediately after the filming of a “Supplementary investigation” against the actor, a second complaint was filed for sexual violence by the actress Hélène Darras, for events dating back to 2007 on the set of Nightclub. 13 women also attended Mediapart to denounce the behavior of the actor, who continues to openly deny it.
