According to a sample of 1,000 people considered representative of the national population, 59% of French people are French. they consume second-hand goods, all categories together, with a clear preference for fashion, culture, furniture and decorations.

In addition to the 59% who often buy second-hand items, 15% of the population who have not yet taken the plunge plan to do so soon. Currently, 26% of second-hand fans are under 35 years old. Among the most common arguments in favor of this action, 52% do so for reasons of economic convenience, 40% for pleasure and 21% for environmental concerns.
