Jerry Seinfeld travels to Israel to meet families of hostages held by Hamas

Jerry Seinfeld met in Israel this week with the families of the hostages held by Hamas, as well as some of the recently released hostages.

The American Jew His field The creator met with the families on Monday evening at the headquarters of the Hostages and Missing Persons Family Forum. He previously signed a letter condemning Hamas’s “barbaric” attack on Israel on October 7, which led to the bloody war that is currently raging.

Seinfeld wore a dog tag that read “Take Her Home” around his neck as he spoke to the families. According to Israeli broadcaster Channel 13, the meeting lasted two hours longer than planned. About half of the hostages captured on October 7 have so far been released.

“Seinfeld told the families that he is deeply committed to raising global awareness of the hostage crisis,” the forum said in a statement. “He and his family were obviously deeply affected by the testimonies they heard from family members and the released hostages.”

According to the Times of Israel, Seinfeld may now visit the southern border area and possibly meet with Israeli soldiers. He is one of many prominent Americans who have made this trip since the war began, including Michael Rapaport and Elon Musk.

The war has been going on for two and a half months now, and there is no immediate end in sight. There are now an estimated 20,000 deaths, most of them in the Gaza Strip.
