Red Sea International Film hosted its annual Women in Cinema Gala on Friday, November 1, attended by Michelle Williams, Sharon Stone, Zoe Saldana, Diane Kruger, Maïwenn, Catherine Martin, Michelle Rodriguez, Naomi Campbell, Garrett Hedlund and more attendees.
The festival began with the world premiere of the Saudi fantasy novel HWJNdirected by Yasir Al Yasiri, during the opening gala on Thursday, December 30. The glamorous event was attended by Baz Luhrman, Will Smith, Johnny Depp, Maïwenn, Michelle Williams, Sharon Stone, Baz Luhrman, Catherine Martin, Diane Kruger, Frieda Pinto, Joel Kinnaman, Paz Vega, Ranveer Singh and many more.

The jury for the 2023 edition of the festival will be led by Baz Luhrmann and the Red Sea: Features jury consisting of Joel Kinnaman, Freida Pinto, Amina Khalil and Paz Vega. The Red Sea: Shorts Competition will be judged by judges Hana Alomair, Assaad Bouab and Fatih Akin.
The festival awards night ends with the MENA premiere of Ferrari, the new Michael Mann biopic starring Adam Driver and Penelope Cruz. The latest film from Studio Ghibli director Hayao Miyazaki The boy and the heron do shown as a public final film.
The Red Sea International Film Festival takes place from 30 November to 9 December.
