The Chamber of Secrets out of nostalgia, The Prisoner of Azkaban for its scenario, The Goblet of Fire for his brutal but superb transition to maturity… in the franchise Harry Potter, several titles can make a decent claim to the title of best picture. However, Daniel Radcliffe’s favorite one isn’t necessarily the one we think of.
An idol: Gary Oldman
As TF1 rebroadcasts the entire saga on Tuesdays every two weeks, we have the opportunity to remember which are our favorites, which are the ones we sometimes yawn in front of. As remembered WidescreenDaniel Radcliffe had the opportunity to answer a question that every fan of the saga has already asked himself at least once: What is your favorite Harry Potter? in an interview for Wired in 2021. The actor then released a response that could surprise viewers accustomed to praising the first parts of the saga, signed by Chris Columbus:
“ The fifth, which is not what most people cite as one of their favorites. But I had the opportunity to work Gary Oldmann in this movie. AND I was a little older at that time, so I was able to appreciate it more. But it’s probably the last one [que je préfère revoir]. »

Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Ralph Fiennes: in a decade, the saga has seen quite a podium of prestigious actors become Daniel Radcliffe’s acting partners. But it’s Gary Oldman (Sirius Black) who seems to have become the icon of the young actor. For the latter, The Order of the Phoenix it is therefore the film that marks his coming of age and a transition in his career within the saga.
The overwhelming complicity between Sirius and Harry has already made us shed a tear with each new viewing of the saga: now it will have an even more particular resonance.
