One of the only pleasures of the year 2023? Maybe that’s it production companies have allowed us to escape the frustration of not being able to watch the rest of some of our favorite series. However, emotional euphoria reared its head when some series did not find a broadcaster in France…
The closure of some streaming platforms and other inconclusive rights battles are to blame. In summary, who suffers? The French fans… The solution to consider is a VPN like the one offered by Surfshark. A cybersecurity company that wants to give its users total control of their digital life by developing privacy and security solutions, including VPN.
Here are two series that I was able to watch using this secure connection tool. So, before revealing these gems that I looked at with joy, It’s worth explaining how a VPN works.
What is a VPN for?
As explained above, a VPN is a secure connection tool, but not only. Its first function is to protect your data when using a public connection point. In what ways? By hiding your IP address. In fact, it is the latter that allows you to identify yourself on the network and geolocate yourself based on your computer.
A VPN (Virtual Private Network) therefore allows you to enjoy a certain privacy when you surf the web, preventing your web browser from tracking you. Your online activities will be saferbecause they are no longer at risk of being improperly registered since then your data will be encrypted. You can indicate that you connect from wherever you want and, depending on your location, access a multitude of contents such as the three series that I will present to you.
Surfshark doesn’t just offer a VPN tool, for Black Friday it offers great package pricing so you can test out its different products without burning your budget:

And just like that…, season 2
Of course you know this Sex and the city. This series revolutionized the world of the small screen between 1998 and 2004 speaking openly about women’s sexuality. She featured four single people in Manhattan. Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte lead lucrative professional careers in which they thrive, but suffer romantic setbacks.
The series also bears the name of the column written by Carrie for a weekly magazine, in which she talks without taboos the ups and downs she and her best friends go through in the dating jungle of New York.
That’s it… it is the continuation of Sex and the city17 years later. The daily lives of the heroines have evolved a lot since they no longer spend their nights in nightclubs, but rather at children’s end-of-year shows and other medical visits. Carrie’s chronicle Sex and the city it no longer exists, and in this spin-off there is much less talk about sex.
It’s quite enjoyable to follow the adventures of a protagonist who is over 50 years old. When many of the series currently offered are teenage drama. Obviously Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte’s problems are no longer the same, but just as romantic.
Jane Austen: Welcome to Sanditon, season 3
If you like period intrigue, you’ll love this British series. Adaptation of one of author Jane Austen’s last unfinished worksthe plot takes place at the end of the 19th century, in a fictional seaside town, Sanditon.
The heroine, Charlotte Heywood meets the Parker family, who plan to transform Sanditon, a fishing village, into a fashionable seaside resort.. The family takes Charlotte under their wing and offers to host her for the season. A godsend for the daughter of this farmer from a modest family, who wishes to escape her destiny as a married woman and see the world.
Charlotte faces new social codes and swims in the sea for the first time in her life. But this series also raises other questions of this century, viz the end of slavery, the independence of women and the massive urbanization of rural areas. A series that is devoured like candy during rainy days.
