The end of the famous NBC family drama is near We, And NBC has released the first footage for the May 24 series finale, “We.”
In it, the Big Three and their families are seen in black as they gather for Rebecca’s funeral. There are photos of Randall and Katie praising their mothers, it shows Kevin having a good relationship with Uncle Nick, Randall shares a memory with Deja while waiting for his first grandchild, this is the last photo of KaToby and the three elders carry a piece of him. It’s time to sit together on the steps of the family room.
There’s obviously a tail tied to a donkey, linking the past and the future, with pictures of them mourning the day of Rebecca’s funeral, and pictures of young Rebecca holding a book when the elders were little.
In an interview on Deadline’s Awardsline We“Previous Final Episode “Train” earlier this week, We Creator Dan Fogelman kissed the ending he wrote.
“In the final episode, we’re going to try to shoot something simple versus Rebecca’s funeral, which is sadly a day in life that is a big part of the show,” he said.
Fogelman said the show deliberately solves all the big mysteries beforehand, “so that people can most easily sit down with their families in the final episode.” “Whether it makes you cry or sad, the ending of the finale moves differently. I think the actors and cameraman filmed something about the human condition and the state of being in a family that I’m very proud of. ”
He also joked about another death and shared a line from the end: “I wish I had more fun while it was still happening, instead of thinking about when it was going to end,” revealing which character said that.
