Disney names Tinisha Agramonte as chief diversity officer

Disney has appointed Tinisha Agramonte as SVP and Chief Diversity Officer, effective immediately, responsible for overseeing the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategy.

The director, who joined Disney a year ago as VP Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Talent Outreach & Development at Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, reports to Sonia Coleman, director of human resources.

“Across all of our teams and in every community in which we live and work around the world, Disney is committed to building a more inclusive and respectful world,” said Coleman. “Tinisha Agramonte is an integral part of our leadership team and a dedicated, respected leader at Disney. As our new CDO, Agramonte’s extensive knowledge and expertise working across multiple industries will enable us to continue to create a welcoming environment for our employees worldwide.”

Before joining Disney, Agramonte was named the first CDO at Motorola Solutions. She also held senior leadership roles in the federal government as CDO and Director of the Office of Civil Rights at the Department of Commerce; Deputy Administrator for Diversity, Inclusion and Civil Rights at the US Small Business Administration; and Director of Diversity and Inclusion Outreach and Retention at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
