The “Super Models” series, which aired on September 20, continues to drag viewers into the behind-the-scenes world of modeling. In the new series of the fashion show, Christy Turlington, one of the most successful models in the history of the fashion industry and the face of Dior, Dolce & Gabbana and Louis Vuitton brands, told her story. She shared a memory of how she was banned from walking in a fashion show because she gained some weight.

This happened in 1996, when the supermodel quit smoking. According to Christie, she won very little, but this was enough for the famous French brand to ban her from appearing on the catwalk. However, this did not affect Christie. Instead of following strict diets, she decided to spend less time on modeling and devote more time to her studies. “This was one of the best decisions of my life,” the model admitted. Turlington earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University in 1999.

Let us also remind you that the series “Supermodels” tells about the lives of the main supermodels of the 90s and the difficulties they experienced. Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington took part in the filming of the show. Meanwhile, Linda Evangelista yesterday talked about how she started her modeling career at the age of 16. See here for details.
