Age is no barrier: 73-year-old Twiggy walks the catwalk at London Fashion Week

The idol of millions of girls, a style icon and a true legend of the fashion industry. Of course, we’re talking about Twiggy, a model whose name became synonymous with rocking London in the 60s. Leslie Lawson (real name Twiggy) was one of the most popular and famous models, remembered for her beautiful appearance, long eyelashes and pixie hairstyle. And finally, she made a triumphant return to fashion during London Fashion Week.

Twiggy appeared at the first MAC Cosmetics The Face Show wearing gray pants with satin sleeves, a white shirt and a pair of white sneakers. And here’s another interesting fact: this show was the first in Twiggy’s career – all this time she never appeared on the catwalk, preferring to work with fashion photographers such as Richard Avedon and Helmut Newton.

Let’s remember that Leslie Lawson was the face of Yves Saint Laurent, Courrèges and Paco Rabanne in the 1960s. Twiggy ended her modeling career in 1970 and decided to devote herself to creating music and acting in films. Throughout his career, he has appeared in more than 10 films and released many successful music albums.
