This Friday, August 18, the California Court of Appeals allowed two alleged victims of Michael Jackson to relaunch the proceedings against the singer for child sexual abuseS. Now aged 40 to 45, Wade Robson and James Safechuck had respectively 7 and 10 years at the time of the disputed facts.
Extension of the permissible limitation period from 2020
This new development is notably due to a new California law that allows it extension of statute of limitations for alleged victims of childhood sexual abuse. Effective October 2020, this law authorizes Wade Robson and James Safechuck to file charges against Michael Jackson’s companies MJJ Productions and MJJ Ventures, as reported by the American media People. In 2013 and 2014, it was because of the statute of limitations that their attempt had failed.

Right now, Wade Robson had testified on behalf of the singer. But a few years later, he reconsidered his testimony, revealing that he had lied in court, unaware of the abuse he himself allegedly suffered.
