From 19 January 2023, many testimonials have been posted on social media against Percy Hynes White revealed in the Netflix series Wednesday. The Canadian actor born in 2001 is accused abuse, sexual assault and rape of minors.
Six months later and after a deafening silence, the actor spoke for the first time, denying it altogether these allegations.

In a series of tweets including private messages traded with the actor as well as photo of him nakedseveral young women have claimed that the group of friends that Percy Hynes White is a part of ” he was known, since their 15 years, for their predatory behavior manipulating girls into sleeping with them or sharing nude photos with them without their consent. »
The facts would have happened when the actor had between 17 and 20 years oldwhile the alleged victims were elderly for some 13 or 14 years old. On Twitter, witnesses described the same modus operandi. The group of men organized themselves evenings in a basement before attacking the victims, after making them drink alcohol.
“These kinds of baseless and harmful allegations can create distrust the victims. »
After months of silence, Percy Hynes White posted a story in one on his Instagram account. Complaint “a disinformation campaign” against him. However, the actor never mentions the specific statements to which it refersnever mentioning the terms of abuse, assault or rape:
“Earlier this year, someone I’ve never met launched a disinformation campaign about me online. Because of this, my family was robbed and my friends received death threats.
Using a rhetoric of conspiracythe actor looks like “a victim”complaining that his reputation had been tarnished by these allegations:
“The rumors are false. I cannot accept being presented as a sectarian or a criminal who neglects people’s safety. These are the kinds of baseless and damaging allegations that can build distrust the victims. »
