La France Insoumise investigation into sexual assault allegations against Taha Bouhafs closed

The former candidate of La France Insoumise in the legislative elections has been accused of sexual assault against two women. Following the closure of the investigation, the party decided to reinstate him.

More than a year after receiving the complaint from two women accusing Taha Bouhafs of sexual assault, the internal procedure initiated within La France Insoumise (LFI) is now closed, closed without further action, as revealed FM TV Monday June 5th.

Reintegrated into LFI

During the investigative process, one of the accusers finally withdrew his testimony last March, nearly a year after the allegations. The latter did not want to press charges or confront Bouhafs, he said franceinfo. Without elements and failing to convince the young woman to take legal action, the party Observatory, called the “Committee for the respect of principles”, therefore decided to close the file.
