The sentence has just been dropped: the Islamologist Tariq Ramadan, tried before the Criminal Court of Geneva for ” rape ” AND ” sexual coercion “, was finally acquitted. Tariq Ramadan, also accused in four other cases of rape in France, was heard by the court for the ordeal of Brigitte*, who accused him of having raped, beaten and insulted her, in a hotel room in Geneva, on the night of October 27-28, 2008.

The plaintiff announced that he is appealing.
*The complainant testified under a pseudonym
