At the end of last year, the premiere of James Cameron’s “Avatar: The Way of Water” took place. In a conversation with reporters, Matt Damon once again recalled the story of how he turned down the lead role in the movie.
The Hollywood star sat down for an interview with Entertainment Tonight while starring in a new ad campaign with Zoe Saldana. “The dumbest thing an actor has ever done in acting history,” she said as the conversation turned to her being on Avatar. “I don’t think your career has suffered because of this, believe me,” Zoe tried to comfort him. Also, “I’ve never made a movie that makes a billion dollars,” she added.
