Mikado’s homemade recipe

To make this chocolate covered sticks recipe you will need:

  • 200 g of dark or milk chocolate
  • 75h of soft butter
  • 150 g of flour
  • 1 egg
  • 50 g of icing sugar
  • 1 pinch of baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil

In a salad bowl, mix sugar and butter firmly, to obtain a creamy consistency. Then you can add the egg and, little by little, Flour and the pinch of bicarbonate. Once done, form a ball and jump, a rest in the fridge for an hour, possibly wrapping it in transparent film.

Now that the dough has rested, you can make it preheat the oven to 150°C. On a lightly floured work surface, roll the dough to form a rectangle, and cut strips of approx 5mm wide. Roll each of these strips to form sticks.

Put everything in the oven for 6 to 8 minutes placing them on a pan lined with baking paper. Once it’s done and the sticks are well browned, wait until they’re cold before peeling them off.

Well, did you do everything? So here’s the last step, very simple: melt the chocolate in a saucepan with a dose of oil, and, once well melted, pour the chocolate into a tall glass. Then dip the sticks into the melted chocolateand let it all cool down before devouring it all in 4 minutes.
