The world’s most popular singer, The Weekend, recently joked that it was time to change his stage name. Apparently, there was only part of the misinformation in the words of the actor.
As BBC News reports, the singer has decided to drop her stage name, so she will now perform as Abel Makkonen Tesfaye (artist’s real name – Approx. ed.). The 33-year-old cult hit artist appeared on all social networks as Abel, although his account on the banned social network remained under his old pseudonym.
The name change is also reported to come after he told W Magazine that he really wanted to “get out of The Weekend”. Apparently, the star did!
Recall that the artist once had a relationship with Angelina Jolie. They have been seen on several dates together.
