Hello to all fashionistas! Your fashion editor is in touch. There are so many trends and brands in my world that I decided to keep an online diary where I would take notes on the most important things in the fashion world. And although such diaries are often called personal, mine are open to all readers – so that you are aware of the most important ones.

While we were all resting during the May holidays, the fashion world did not stop for a moment. First Kim Kardashian introduced the Skims bridal lingerie collection, then Burberry released a summer campaign, and then a new Chanel collection was introduced in Los Angeles. The news of the fashion world does not end there. On the contrary, everything becomes even more interesting. On his first day on the job, Peter Do becomes the creative director of Helmut Lang and is prophesied for a similar position at Alessandro Michele’s relaunched Italian brand Albini.

There have been some really interesting events this week, so I suggest you join me on a little digital journey through the latest news in the fashion world and learn a little more about our domestic brands, advertising campaigns and collections. Shall we begin?


Summer is just over two weeks away, which means the outdoor season is officially open. And if you still do not know where to buy stylish clothes, I will gladly share all the passwords and skins. This week, information appeared on the Web that next summer will be the hottest in 150 years. True, it was later refuted, but the residue remained. That’s why our editors are already on the hunt for the perfect outfits for the heat. And we found it. There is a meaningful name in the collection of the Russian brand Fashion Rebels. The designers who created “Heat” were inspired by the romantic mood of the movie of the same name and the glorious time of the early 2000s, so they decided to film the summer campaign to reflect the special warmth and sense of freedom of that era.

The highlight of the collection was the suit capsule made of natural linen. Jackets, vests, trousers, skirts, bermuda shorts fit perfectly and complement each other. And of course dresses, sophisticated, wrap-around silhouettes, bohemian, with open backs and hand-woven knit straps. Loose and puffy sleeves – ideal for walks and summer celebrations.


I don’t know about you, but I could spend hours or even days on the Poison Drop site – a huge amount of jewelry from 100 brands is a must. And so the store team gave them a new reason to look again, not again, to shine a real light on them. In collaboration with the artist Masha Yankovskaya, Poison Drop presented a joint collection of Yankovskaya. And it’s not simple, but really bold: the basis for the fall was the code phrase “adult punk”, in other words, a measured provocation.

A single earring in the form of a pen, a star pendant in the image and likeness of the “Tarot” series of paintings or a ring “resting” on the female chest – all products are made of gold, silver and diamonds. It is a great opportunity to show your individuality and break the rules with jewelery precision. And, of course, the jewelry from the collection is already available only in stores, in the app and on the website of the department store.


The biggest trend this spring is quiet luxury. What does it mean? And that designers, stylists and fashion influencers suggest that we forget about flashy monograms and pay attention to high-end things that look expensive. I found the epitome of this trend in the summer collection of the Russian brand 1811, dedicated to the romance of travel. This time the designers relied on a quiet palette and a simple cut. On my wish list, I have basic maxi dresses and sets with shorts.


Today, the fashion and art industries are not only interconnected, but also develop, complement and transform each other in common life. For example, designers often rethink masterpieces of world art, and artists are happy to collaborate with fashion brands. And the domestic industry is no exception. At the end of April, the Russian brand SHI-SHI presented a new collection, turning it into a true manifesto about manual labor and a special “author’s” perception of the world. The recognizable aesthetic of everyday luxury SHI-SHI is harmoniously intertwined with the fantasy worlds of artist Zhenya Dudnikova, who painted the windows of her flagship store and developed the updated design of branded packages. And very beautiful!


The number of cool Russian brands is increasing day by day. And this truth cannot but rejoice. Today I want to introduce you to Papaya brand from Krasnodar. The main idea that has become the basis of the brand is to create a versatile, high-quality and well-thought-out wardrobe designer, avoiding stuffing it with unnecessary things. Such a conscious approach to clothing should be borrowed by each of us. The basis of the collections are elegant things made in monochrome tones and a restrained color palette. The brand actively promotes the culture of local production in Russia, and therefore produces its collections in a high-tech factory in Krasnodar.

And recently Papaya introduced the first of three drops as part of a new collection codenamed Elements. This line, by the way, is dedicated to the elements of the earth. There are classic jackets with fitted silhouettes, wide trousers, animal print cardigans and sweaters, silk blouses and knitwear suits.


At the end of April, the main fashion event of spring ended in Moscow – the markets of Moscow Fashion Week. From April 28 to April 30, designers and brands are located in the seven largest commercial floors of the city – Europolis shopping center (Rostokino), Metropolis shopping center, Oceania shopping center, Paveletskaya Plaza shopping center, shopping and entertainment center “Riviera”, shopping center “Beautiful!” and SEC “VEGAS Crocus City”. Some residents remained at the market on Tverskoy Boulevard until May 7 as part of the Moscow Spring Festival.

Sustainable brands working with innovative fabrics and modern technologies participated in the event. For example, ‘Rishi makes clothes from nettle and hemp fabric. Also in the outlets you can find children’s clothes “Hello, Bear”, Mishura, street style, SoWhat?, “BEACH”, PLNB Jeans, “Let’s 36” and others.


Our fashion department always follows the developments in the domestic market and never misses new store openings. Therefore, recently the capital’s fashion card has been replenished with another brand. This time it’s not Russian, it’s Turkish called NetWork. In the collection you can find everything you need to live in a big metropolis: from trouser suits to sequined evening dresses. The women’s collection features three main themes: achromatic looks, printed models and a color capsule that is pleasing to the eye with fresh tones and extraordinary combinations. According to NetWork designers, this performance reflects the spring transformation taking place in the new season and women’s natural desire to try a variety of looks, from simple and pure colors to fancy printed dresses, flowy dresses and skirts. with fun maxi fringes. You can meet the collections in the stores in the “Aviapark”, “Metropolis” and “Afimall City” shopping center.


And another reference to art in the collection of the Russian brand. Designer Yana Besfamilnaya rethinks Botticelli’s Venus image, giving it movement and depriving it of innocence. Venus in the reading of the brand is still the personification of femininity and love, but change and, above all, love for yourself. In Venus Yana Besfamilnaya we can see combinations of linen suspenders, airy fabrics, but we can also see clear silhouettes that refer to sculptures.
