CBS debuts American Decides, a revamped daily streaming political show, featuring a team of TV hosts and correspondents.
Debut on May 1st, America decides Robert Costa, Caitlin Huey-Burns, Major Garrett, Ed O’Keefe, Nikole Killion, Scott MacFarlane, Weijia Jiang and Nancy Cordes. The show will stream Monday through Thursday at 5:00 PM ET on CBS News Streaming and rebroadcast at 6:00 PM ET and 9:00 PM ET. This slot is currently occupied by Red Bluewhich was introduced six years ago.
Robert Gifford, vice president and editor-in-chief of CBS News, said in a statement that they “aim to provide a fresh perspective that better informs viewers, presents facts without opinion and allows newsmakers to speak in a place that further goes as syllables .”.”
The show takes place in Washington, as does Anthony Salvanto, director of elections and polls for CBS News, with the latest polls. Allison Sandza is the executive producer of the program and coverage of CBS News Streaming from Washington.

I’m excited to share with you some of the steps we’re taking in our stream policy coverage with the May 1 unveiling of America Decides.
The Stream team, led by Anthony Galloway, in collaboration with Rob Gifford and Allison Sandza, has put together a program that showcases the strengths of our unparalleled political reporting team at CBS News. Set in DC in a studio currently undergoing an upgrade, it will stream Monday through Thursday at 5:00 PM ET, with second runs at 6:00 PM. ET and 9 p.m. ET.
Every day, America Decides will go deeper than the headlines, with our team bringing new reports, interviews with newsmakers, and in-depth analysis of what’s happening in DC and how it affects every major street across the country. America Decides will be where newsmakers have their say first and where multiplatform viewers everywhere turn to for the best political news.
“America Decides” along with “CBS News Prime Time with John Dickerson” creates a strong lineup for the evening on stream for today’s news and as we look ahead to what the upcoming election season will bring.
