According to Mediapart’s report, French actor Jarard Depardieu, who has Russian citizenship, is accused of sexual harassment.
During the investigation, it was revealed that thirteen women faced various sexually explicit acts by the actor from 2004 to 2022. It was noted that not all the girls, afraid of their future fate, were able to declare this under their own name. One of the alleged victims reported that Gerard harassed her in front of the film crew.
It is also stated that such events occurred on the set of eleven films where the actor was working.
The artist declined to comment on the publication. His lawyers, however, deny all charges: “Depardieu does not intend to respond to accusations that the various issues are intertwined and some of them relate only to one’s moral judgments.”
Gerard was already accused of sexual harassment in 2018. Then the promising actress Charlotte Arno complained about the star. According to her, Depardieu harassed her during “an unofficial rehearsal of the play”. After the checks, the investigators did not find sufficient grounds to bring charges. However, the actress filed a new complaint in the form of a civil lawsuit.
