The DC Universe will receive a new version of Batman The brave and the boldbut so far fans have been left waiting for real updates. Now it appears the wait for information may be coming to an end.
Andy Muschiettithe director behind The Flashis directing the next DCU Batman film, which was first revealed to explore the relationship between Bruce Wayne and his son, Damian Wayne.
While details have been scarce since the project’s announcement, Muschietti recently gave fans a small but exciting update.
When Variety asked him about the status of the film, BArbara MuschiettiAndy’s sister and producing partner, said: “The intention is yes, but we can’t talk about it.”
Andy chimed in, adding, “We have to wait a few, a couple of months to start talking about this.” Then, realizing he might have said more than he should, he laughed, “I’ve already ruined everything.”
That joking comment is the first real clue we’ve gotten in months The brave and the bold is actually moving forward and we may not be far from hearing more about the new Batman movie.
Before this, the most recent update came James Gunnin which he teased that the project was still in progress, saying: “No, I think you’ll have to wait to see the movie. Some things have changed.
“A lot of things are always changing about what his situation is with his parents and everything, so I wouldn’t take any of that — Yeah, I mean, the actor who wants… Look, first of all, I can’t tell you how many great actors have told me they want to be Batman.”
He went on to add, “I think it would be harder to find actors who don’t want to be Batman. He’s the one character everyone wants to play. That’s the truth.”
As we wait to see who will finally don the cape and cowl The brave and the boldfans can at least rest easy knowing that updates are on the horizon.
Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson will continue his version of Gotham’s protector when he returns Batman: Part IIwhose release is scheduled for 2027.
