EXCLUSIVE: Reginald the Vampire Producer Thunderbird Entertainment is setting up a script hub in the US
The Canadian outfit have signed with Netflix Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once and Forever EP Hillary Zwick Turner will head an LA outpost while also signing a screenwriting deal with Tuatara Media former Lionsgate EVP Barbara Wall.
Turner will become Thunderbird SVP Scripted Content and will oversee the development and production of The Hub – Thunderbird’s second hub in the US – along with talent partnerships and scripted project acceleration. The new center has several employees and shares space with the LA studio of Thunderbird children’s label Atomic, which opened four years ago.

“We already have content in active network development and will use the entire organization to locate and leverage global scripted opportunities,” he added, describing Turner as “massive talent.”
Turner said she will “help build a premium global brand for written content.”
Thunderbird develops, produces and distributes content through the Thunderbird Kids & Family (Atomic Cartoons), Thunderbird Unscripted (Great Pacific Media) formerly known as Thunderbird Factual, and Thunderbird Scripted brands.
At the end of last year, a struggle for control of Thunderbird’s higher authority was triggered by a shareholder who wanted to replace the board with people who could “unlock” its value.
