Chad AND Carey Hayesthe writing duo best known for creating The evocationget behind the camera for the first time with their directorial debut, Train. The thriller will be the protagonist Francesca O’Connorwho previously worked with the brothers The evocation 2.

This new project marks an exciting reunion, as O’Connor memorably played Peggy Hodgson The evocation 2. With The evocation the franchise still holds the crown as the highest-grossing horror series in cinematic history, seeing its original creators turn to directing seems like a natural next step.

Train is produced by Blake Northfield AND Michelle Krumm from Bronte Studios, the Australian company that recently premiered Beast of war at the Melbourne International Film Festival before screening at Fantastic Fest in Austin.

In a joint statement, the Hayes brothers shared their excitement for this next chapter: “We are thrilled to make our directorial debut with Trainin collaboration with the incredible team at Bronte Studios.

“After years of writing, developing and living within the industry, we are thrilled to finally put all this experience behind the camera. This story has everything we love about our genre and we can’t wait to bring it to life.”

Producers Northfield and Krumm also expressed their enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating: “The Hayes brothers are known around the world as the creators of some of the most successful horror films in history; now it’s their turn to direct.

“We are beyond thrilled to produce their directorial debut and incredibly excited to have Frances O’Connor join the cast. We can’t wait to bring this film to market.”

O’Connor, who has built a diverse career with projects such as The missing AND AI artificial intelligenceshe’s a strong leading choice for the thriller, and her return to the world of Hayes’ supernatural storytelling should excite horror fans.

Additional casting and production details will be revealed soon, but Train is already shaping up to be one to watch for modern horror fans.
