As the door to the launch pad closed at Star Wars Celebration 2023, Disney’s Jedi Council announced the time and location of the next edition of the gathering. Fans and talent will then come together and celebrate a galaxy far, far away in a year that may seem far away at this point: 2025.
While it may seem strange at first to skip an edition of the hugely popular encounter in 2024, it makes a little more sense when you consider that the franchise has no big-screen outing planned for next year. In March, Deadline reported that December 19, 2025 is the projected theatrical release date for the next film set in the Star Wars universe.
For example, Star Wars Celebration 2025 will take place April 18-20, 2025 at Makuhari Messe in Japan, a business district just outside of central Tokyo that is home to one of the country’s largest convention centers.

The 24th anniversary event, usually held in the US or UK, was held again in Japan in 2008. The 2020 meeting has been canceled due to the pandemic.
