Sad day in Hollywood today. Ashley Niesenberg, a fast-rising attorney, died Saturday at the age of 41 in a family setting. Co-founder of the Los Angeles-based entertainment law firm Jorn Levine, Rubenstein Conner Endlich and Gelman were diagnosed with advanced breast cancer nearly a year ago.
“Ashley has been an indelible figure in the fabric, life and culture of our company and our practice,” the company said in a statement. “Ashley was a fierce and effective advocate for her clients who loved her and cared for her in a way her words couldn’t describe.”
A UCLA graduate, Nissenberg joined the company in May 2007 and became a partner in 2015. He was a special advisor and acquisitions coordinator at Tennis Channel 2004-2006.
“Ashley’s dedication, legal ingenuity and ability to handle any situation with kindness and grace have inspired all of us to be better,” said the partners. Ashley was also a compassionate, fun and kind person who meant a lot to us, both in the company and to the people who had the honor of working alongside her every day.
“He has touched the lives of each of us and we are united by our loyalty to honor his legacy forever.”
Nissenberg leaves her husband Brett and three children. In her honor, her Partners law firm created a fund to support children’s education. The family is asking for donations to be sent to the Ashley Niesenberg Children’s Education Foundation instead of flowers.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 10 at noon at Hillside Memorial Park, Culver City. A live streaming option will also be available.
