Local network Chilevision, after signing a deal with Banijay Rights, has ordered another adaptation of the social experiment format as the classic formats continue their hot revival period. Chilevision and Kuarzo will produce the show.

Green pointed to data from Big Brother Brazil, showing that a recent eviction vote produced 751 million votes — the highest number of votes in a finale and the second highest in the show’s history. “The social media engagement there was overwhelming,” he added. “It’s a format that stimulates online conversations.”
The format has been on a hot streak worldwide with 33 productions airing in 26 territories last year, helped in part by the increasingly global trend for networks to relaunch classic formats. It recently rebooted in Argentina and is expected to return on ITV2 in the UK.
