Bigamist and fake CIA agent William Allen Jordan investigates the ITVX Doc series

British streamer ITVX will examine the life of rogue CIA agent and bigamist William Allen Jordan in a three-part documentary series.

The other woman Jordan will expose the life of Jordan, who convinced his British wife, Mary Turner Thompson, that he was a CIA agent working on counter-terrorism in the early 2000s until she received a call from another woman who claimed that she is a “different” man. He appears to have had several marriages, relationships and children elsewhere.

At the heart of the doc is the literal and metaphorical search for Jordan, who was in reality a serial bigamist, sex offender and pathological liar. As the Thompson hunt begins, ITV says it will be “a runner’s race of women all searching for the truth”.

The series comes from Bafta-winning filmmaker Matt Smith for Circle Circle Films, produced with October Films for ITV’s streaming service ITVX, and is based on Thompson’s books The Bigamist and ThePsychopath. Olivia Isaacs is the director and Nicola Lloyd is the commissioner for ITV Banijay Rights handling international distribution.

“What a story, so full of twists and turns,” says Lloyd, editor-in-chief of Factual Entertainment for ITV. “I was hooked from the beginning. It’s even more shocking when you find out that Jordan is still active and cheating on people right now. I’m thankful that his female victims will have a strong voice in this film.

“Having a filmmaker of Matt’s caliber tell the story means that ITVX viewers can get lost and watch him reveal the layers of the story. I am very happy to work with him again.”

Circle Circle stands behind documents such as The turning point of the Rio Ferdinand And Rooney for great video, Rio and Kate: Becoming a Step Family for the BBC and London Zoo: an exceptional year for ITV, a co-production in October. October is known for documents such as Discovery+s The (little blue) pill that changed the world and that of HBO Max beanie mania and that of BBC Three Jesy Nelson: Strange man out.

The document was presented at an ITV reality launch in West London this morning.
