Madonna asked the Pope for a meeting to reconsider the Vatican’s stance on her “abusive” behavior: “I am a good Catholic”

Madonna, who allegedly broke up with her young boyfriend in the past few days, applied to the Pope for an interview. Known for fetishizing aspects of the Catholic Church in her work, the pop star asked her to reconsider her stance against her “abusive” behavior and said she wanted to get a second chance and fix everything.
Madonna tweeted* and added that she wasn’t even swearing anymore.
The Vatican has indeed condemned Madonna more than once. In 1989, the video Like a Prayer, in which images of the burning cross flashed and the singer seduced a black Jesus, was first distributed – the video was banned on public television in Italy, condemned by the Vatican. Madonna was harshly criticized by the Catholic Church after her scandalous performance in Rome in 2006 where she was “crucified” while wearing a thorny wreath on stage. Cardinal Ersilio Tonini, later on behalf of Pope Benedict XVI, called the performance “blasphemous”, saying the “queen of pop” had “gone too far”.
said the cardinal.

But Madonna was not particularly embarrassed at the time. Already in 2008, he again went to a provocation and at the next concert in Rome dedicated the song Like a Virgin (“Like a Virgin”) to Benedict XVI.
– Madonna addressed the 60,000th spectator at the stadium.
Current Pope Francis has yet to respond to Madonna’s offer to meet.
