Fox News notes leadership changes to fill duties of late CEO Alan Komissaroff

Fox News said Wednesday it will fill some of late CEO Alan Komissaroff’s responsibilities in a series of leadership changes.

Komissaroff, who was SVP News & Politics, died in January at the age of 47.

Tom Lowell has been appointed senior executive vice president and editor-in-chief of Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, overseeing all editorial offices. He will continue to report to Fox News Media Editor-in-Chief Jay Wallace.

Kim Rosenberg has been appointed Executive Vice President of News Programming and oversees all daily news programming. She will report to Lowell.

Doug Rohrbeck, senior vice president of Washington News & Politics; and Jessica Loker, vice president of politics and senior executive producer of Fox News Sundayy, will jointly lead the network’s policy team, which will also include managing all debate and election coverage.

The changes were announced in a memo by Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott and Wallace. The changes were first reported by THR.

Scott and Wallace did not specifically address the ongoing Dominion Voting Systems litigation, which has led to the release of a flurry of internal emails, text messages and other documents in recent weeks.

Scott and Wallace wrote in the memo: “Many of us know this, but it bears repeating in this day and age: criticism from competitors, individuals and organizations with partisan agendas is part of being number one in the news world. We remain focused on our company’s core values ​​- free press, free speech and freedom of expression – all of which reflect our unwavering commitment to people’s right to know, be informed and participate in the marketplace of ideas.

Dear colleagues,

Since it’s been almost two months since Alan Komissaroff, Senior Vice President of News and Politics, tragically passed away, we wanted to update you on changes in the newsroom and the parts of his position that are being taken over by his colleagues. We miss Alan every day and are still saddened by his loss.

Tom Lowell has been appointed senior executive vice president and managing editor for Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network and leads all newsroom. He will continue to report to Jay Wallace, Fox News Media president and executive editor.

A 20-year veteran of FNC, Tom started and directed several news programs during his tenure, including America’s Newsroom. For the past two years, he has focused daily news focusing on critical issues affecting everyday American life, working closely with our top news stories. All our programs will benefit from his outstanding editorial expertise.

Additionally, Kim Rosenberg has been appointed Executive Vice President of News Programming for Fox News Channel, overseeing all daily newscasts. As a 27-year veteran of FNC, Kim’s institutional knowledge of our news product and extensive experience managing journalists on shows is second to none. She will continue to report to Tom.

Also Doug Rohrbeck (Senior Vice President of Washington News & Politics) and Jessica Loker (Vice President of Politics and Senior Executive Producer of Fox News Sundayy) will now co-lead our political team and manage all debates and election reports. Doug will continue to report to Jay and monitor all newscasts from Washington, including Special report with Bret Baier And Fox News @ night. Their combined experience will be an important asset as we prepare for the 2024 election season.

These changes will continue to strengthen Fox News Channel as the news category leader and number one in all of cable television, watched by more Democrats and Independents than any of our competitors.
