Netflix stepped in Lewis Capaldi: How I feel now of The disappearance of Madeleine McCann Indie Pulse Films. Independent Entertainment handled worldwide distribution and also acted as executive producers with BMG.

Directors of Vue International Ups Group

The British film chain Vue International has strengthened the group leaders Otto Turton and Ramneet Bassi. Former Amazon Music CEO Turton, previously Group Director – Content, Pricing and Sales, is now Chief Commercial Officer, reporting to Group Managing Director and Deputy CEO Steve Knibbs. Turton joined Vue in November 2015 from Amazon where he was head of purchasing and marketing for Amazon Music. Bassi was Group Director – Strategy and Analytics and will now become Chief Strategy Officer, reporting to CFO Alison Cornwell. Stella David was appointed non-executive chairman at Rue in January.

First Artists Management expands with new hires

EXCLUSIVE: International talent company First Artists Management has hired new agents for its London and LA offices. Zoe Hart comes from Faber Music, where she was Film/TV composer manager, and Hailey Flame did her PhD in LA. Hart will collaborate with British and European chef Hamish Duff and join new composers Aaron May and David Ridley (boiling point), Jon Opstad (Trainwreck: Woodstock ’99), Madison prepared (Paula Rego, secrets and stories), Rutger Hoedemaekers (Caught); Music Supervisor Sarah Giles (The favorite) and music editor Clare Batterton (big boy). Flame will work with Alexander Vangelos in the Los Angeles office.

Clare Balding becomes the BBC’s Wimbledon presenter

BBC presenter Clare Balding will become the face of the UK network’s Wimbledon tennis coverage after she was appointed to replace the retiring Sue Barker. The move was highly anticipated as Balding presented many BBC sports programs such as covering the Olympics and the yearbook Sportsman of the year Show. She was seen as a leader from the start. Barker retires after 30 years at the BBC. “I realize that no one can fill Sue’s footsteps,” Balding said. Wimbledon takes place this year from 3 to 16 July.
